At Vine Tree Connections, we are committed to promoting sustainability and responsible practices within the MICE industry. As a hotel representation company, we recognise our role in contributing to a greener future and supporting our industry and community.  Not only do we need to act on our own initiatives, but also influence our partners for better sustainability within the MICE industry.

This policy outlines our environmental and charitable endeavors.

Environmental Endeavours

1. Partnership with Environmentally Conscious Hotels. We prioritise working with hotel partners who demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Our partner hotels have initiatives in place to reduce their carbon footprint, conserve resources, minimise waste and design sustainable menus.
2. Greengage Solutions Membership. We are proud members of Greengage Solutions, a leading organisation that supports businesses in achieving sustainable practices. Through this membership, we have an Ecosmart accreditation, which recognises our efforts in implementing environmentally friendly policies and practices.
3. Promoting Eco-Friendly Practices.  Where not already in place, we actively encourage our partner hotels to adopt eco-friendly practices, such as sustainable menu and event design, energy-efficient lighting, water conservation measures, recycling programs, and the use of sustainable materials. We provide guidance and resources to support their sustainability efforts.
4. Sustainable Transportation. As a business that relies on travel to reach out partner hotels and our clients, we endeavour to make the conscious effort to travel sustainably, by use of public transportation where possible and appropriate.  Should flights be required for hsoting FAMs, we explore and endeavour to choose ‘greener’ carriers.
5. Responsible Waste Management. We work with partner hotels who implement effective waste management strategies, including recycling, composting, and reducing single-use plastics. We aim to minimise waste generation and promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives within our own working environments as well.
6. Environmental Education. We actively engage in environmental education initiatives to raise awareness among our hotel partners. We provide information and resources to promote sustainable practices and encourage responsible tourism where required.

Charity Endeavours

1. Meeting Needs Donations. We are committed to supporting charitable organisations that address critical needs within our community. We contribute £2 per client meeting to Meeting Needs, and proactively participate in their fund raising through the donation of prizes, participating in raffles and auctions at industry events.
2. Annual Charity Initiatives. As of 2024, we have implemented our own annual charity initiatives.  Each member of our team is tasked with participating in a charity initative of their choice, or paritcipating in voluntary work as our way of giving back to meaningful charities or community projects.
3. Transparency and Reporting. We maintain transparency in our charitable contributions and regularly report on our sustainability efforts through EcoSmart. We communicate our progress and achievements to our partners, clients and the wider industry.
